Dear Chinmaya Mission San Jose Families and Devotees,
With the current health crisis surrounding the COVID 19 disease (coronavirus) and strong advisories from several county health departments including Santa Clara and San Mateo, to reduce mass gatherings, and keeping the health and well-being of our children and devotees foremost in mind, the CMSJ Board of Directors and Bala Vihar coordinators have decided to close Bala Vihar, language and all other classes at the San Jose, Fremont, San Ramon and San Mateo locations, until further notice. This closure is effective this coming weekend, March 14th/15th. Any upcoming events for the near-term will either be postponed or cancelled, given the current situation. The Geeta Chanting Yagna (competition) scheduled for Saturday, March 14th has been re-scheduled to Saturday, April 25th.
We will continue monitoring the situation closely and will send information once classes and events resume. We humbly seek your understanding and support of this decision during this difficult time.
Additionally, Pandit Ravichandranji has given guidance to chant certain mantras which will help to alleviate the spread of this disease and bring speedy recovery for those affected by the coronavirus. Panditji has suggested that these mantras be chanted daily. Please see attached PDF. There is abundant power in prayer.
May Lord’s Grace and Guru Paramapara’s Blessings be with us all.
In His Service,
CMSJ Board of Directors and Bala Vihar Coordinators
