The fourth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga of Renunciation of Action in Knowledge, is an extension of the ideas propounded in the previous chapter on the Yoga of Action. It dwells on the technique of self-perfection, on the nature of action, as well as inaction, and establishes the supremacy of Knowledge.
It concludes with Shri Krishna stating the necessary qualities for acquiring this knowledge of the Self and urging us to ‘Arise, O Bharata!’ to achieve our true potential.
The CMSJ Geeta Chanting Yajna will be held on Saturday Apr 6, 2024.
Winners of the Gita Chanting Yajna of CMSJ will be chosen to represent the center in the California State Level Geeta Chanting competition (in May). Winners of the State level competition will represent the state in the National Level competition (in July). Chinmaya Mission West shall be conducting competitions and events as part of Gurudev’s 108th year anniversary. This is a special event to inspire all Chinmaya Balavihar students to chant and understand the meaning of this chapter, and come together to showcase their chanting and share their understanding.
