CMSJ celebrated Guru Poornima 2019 in the presence of Swamini Kaivalyananda, Chinmaya Archives.
The full moon day in the Hindu month of Ashad (July-August) is observed as the auspicious day of Guru Poornima, a day sacred to the memory of the great Sage, Veda Vyasa. We are forever indebted to this ancient Saint who edited the four Vedas, wrote the eighteen Puranas, the Mahabharata, the Srimad Bhagavata and the Brahma Sutras.
The event started at 7:30PM at Chinmaya Sandeepany, with Samashti Puja conducted by Pandit Ravichandranji. Several devotees joined to do the puja and seek the Grace and Blessings of Bhagavan Veda Vyasa and the entire Guru Parampara. Swamini Kaivalyananda spoke about Pujya Gurudev after the puja. This was followed by dinner prasad.
