Hari Om!
The Chinmaya Mission San Jose community celebrated the auspicious occasion of Pujya Gurudev’s 103rd birth anniversary on May 8th.
Nearly 400 devotees gathered to offer samashti puja to Pujya Gurudev. Pandit Ravichandran-ji guided the devotees through the steps of the puja.
Every year on this auspicious occasion, CMSJ also celebrates the graduation of 12th grade Bala Vihar/Yuva Kendra students. This year there was a record number of 61 graduates. Venkatesh-ji chanted the Shikshavalli of the Taittiriya Upanishad (the Vedic convocation address) and explained the meaning to the graduating class.
Several of the graduating students spoke eloquently about what Bala Vihar meant to them, and how the lessons learnt are applicable to them in their daily life.
The evening ended with a wonderful dinner sponsored by the parents of the graduating class.
